(UPDATE 5/17/21: ALL SOLD) These 3 cute little guys are looking for new homes. They are $ 100 ea. (photos below). They were born on May 6 and May 12. Prefer they go as bottle babies. Can go separately if you already have goats; at least two must go together if you don't have goats already (goats are herd animals and need a buddy of the same species). Please contact us with any questions.
Went out and visited the goats this evening. They're enjoying the spring weather and fresh grass . . . .
Krebs Farm OT Clairebelle 2*M 2*D AR is one of our favorite does, but we've never been able to get photos that do her justice. Finally, today we got them! She is 5 years old, 5th freshener milked out in these photos. See more information about her on her page.
Also check out her stunning 2021 son sired by Larkstone SP Grand Design *B (photo at the bottom of the post). He is 1 month old in the photo. He and his beautiful chocolate-colored litter sister are retained. :)
And her 2021 son sired by Grand Design . . .
Today we sent six kids on their trip with 5 Star Livestock Transport. Whiskers On Kittens and Candy Land are headed to California, Augusta and Creed to New York, and Merit and Blue Bunny to Virginia. Six beautiful kids we hope will do great things for their new owners.
* Photo of Augusta and Candy Land watching us from their crate while we drive to meet the transporter.
If you would like to purchase goats from us but need them transported to your location, 5 Star Livestock Transport will be traveling through our area April 27 (see route in above photo). We have known Amy Sporna with 5 Star Livestock Transport for years and highly recommend her. Contact her to reserve a spot. Also visit Goats For Sale to see goats currently available from Krebs Farm.
We are pleased to announce that our buck MT Rivendells OLV Oliver Twist +S earned his AGS +S Star status based on the milk production of four of his daughters, Krebs Farm OT Clairebelle 2*M 2*D AR, Krebs Farm OT Steelic Mist 2*M 2*D AR, Krebs Farm OT Lacy 2*M 2*D, and Krebs Farm OT Missy Blue Eyes 2*D.
Oliver's kids consistently have very wide, open escutcheons and well-attached udders. He has particularly influenced our herd through his beautiful daughter Krebs Farm OT Clairebelle 2*M 2*D AR, whose offspring are very dairy with excellent rumps and escutcheons.

Upwards of 32 of our does are due to kid in January and early-February, 2021. Twenty-one of them are first-fresheners. (Will we rue the day? Hmmm . . . Nah. ;-) The does listed below have been exposed to bucks. We did not observe all the breedings because they were pasture bred, but since no one has come back into heat since they were separated from the bucks, we think they've all settled. We will update the 2021 Breeding Schedule with expected due dates soon.

We have now started breeding does for March kidding as well. In the last few days Krebs SR Clairify 3*M 3*D, Krebs QQ Homespun, and Krebs QQ Eve Quinn were bred to Wee3Farms GD Patent Design *B. Krebs QQ Peachy Quinn was bred to Krebs SR DeClaire *B*S. We will continue to update as the breeding season progresses.
CH Old Mountain Farm QuentinQuinn *B passed away on September 16. He began showing his age this past year, and his bloodwork indicated that the cause of death was kidney failure.
Quentin's happy-go-lucky, friendly, and cooperative personality made him a favorite, and we will miss him very much. Special thanks to Cindy and family of Wild Wind Farm for entrusting us with this sweet guy in 2018. We always admired Quentin's dam, Old Mountain Farm Tianna Quinn 4*M, wishing to someday acquire one of her sons, and were so thrilled when we found Quentin and added him to our herd.
Since we purchased Quentin as an older buck, we were aware that we could lose him sooner than we hoped, so thankfully we retained a large number of his 2019 and 2020 kids. Currently, over half our herd consists of his offspring: eight sons, 35 daughters, and one granddaughter. We love the refinement, dairy character, long bodies, straight legs, pronounced briskets, flat rumps, and pretty heads that Quentin has strongly produced in his offspring. He has also passed on the signature big, bright, expressive "Stag eyes" of his sire, SG Old Mountain Farm Stag ++B.
Quentin sired 154 registered or pending registered progeny in his life, 82 of which bear the Krebs herd name. The last kid to be born is Krebs QQ The Most Important, whose dam is Krebs SR Gretl 3*M. The Most Important got her name from The Sound of Music movie, where Gretl, the youngest child in the von Trapp family, asked her Uncle Max, "Why am I always last?" Uncle Max answered, "Because you are the most important." Ironically, though we named and registered her in July of 2020 to follow The Sound of Music/Gretl theme and not in reference to her sire in any way, Krebs QQ The Most Important will forever be Quentin's last.
But the future of QuentinQuinn's influence in our herd is promising. Quentin's sons and daughters are beautiful and we can't wait to watch them mature. His daughters that we have retained will freshen for the first time in 2021, and we are excited to see how their udders develop. A number of them are scheduled for milk test in 2021 and linear appraisal in the coming years. Now that their sire has passed, Quentin's sons will be used more extensively for breeding this year. We are already extremely pleased with the 2020 kids by Krebs QQ Marcus Quinn *B. Keep an eye on our 2021 Breeding Schedule as we update it to reflect these farm changes. Many of Quentin's Krebs offspring also reside in other herds where they are beginning to show their stuff, such as Krebs QQ O Happy Day, owned by Alicia Mikesell-Schultz, who won Junior Reserve Champion Nigerian Doe at the competitive 2020 Bitterroot Dairy Goat Association show.
So while we will always miss him, in many ways the story of CH Old Mountain Farm QuentinQuinn *B is just beginning for our farm, and we think it's heading in a great direction.
Krebs Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats is pleased to announce that Krebs SR Gretl 3*M and MT Rivendells AV Nyala 1*M have earned their ADGA Stars on 1-Day Milk Test. Their AGS Stars are pending.
Gretl is a sweet little goat who, despite the fact that she was one of the youngest and smallest does on milk test this year, held her own by producing 3.9 lbs. of milk as a first-freshener. Gretl has since moved to her new home (congrats, Kayla!).
Nyala is a doe we're very excited about with that pedigree of hers. She has a beautiful first-freshening udder that's correct in every way. She produced 3.8 lbs. of milk as a first-freshener. This year Nyala had two handsome bucklings sired by CH Old Mountain Farm QuentinQuinn *B. We plan to retain one of the bucklings, and the other one will be available.
Krebs Dairy Goats is located in Western Montana's Bitterroot Valley. We breed registered Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats and participate in DHIR and 1-Day Milk Testing.
