Poultry Ordering Information and Policies
Canyon Creek Poultry's flock is certified NPIP and Avian Influenza clean. NPIP # MT-76. We do not offer farm tours. Though we are happy to ship our birds by USPS or other arranged transport, we do not deliver or meet off farm for pick up.
Blue Laced Red Wyandottes and five varieties of laying chickens are also available at North Star Poultry. We can combine orders, though you will be billed separately from Canyon Creek Poultry and North Star Poultry.
Payment Information: We accept PayPal, check, or money order (or cash if you can drop it off at the farm). Make checks or money orders out to Canyon Creek Poultry. Full payment is required at the time of the order to finalize the order. Payments are nonrefundable, unless for some reason we are unable to fill your order, in which case whatever part of your order which was not filled (whether full or part) will be refunded.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who: 1) We feel will not provide a good environment or proper care for animals. 2) Is unreasonable, threatening, debasing, harassing, argumentative, malicious, behaves suspiciously, is dishonest, has a track record of excessive vacillation, or tries to circumvent Canyon Creek Poultry's sales policies and guarantees. 3) Will not provide us with information we request for the purpose of sale and/or shipping. 4) Will not pay.

Live Birds
Hatching Season
We routinely hatch turkey poults weekly March-June, and periodically in throughout the rest of the year. Spring availability of poults is dependent on weather. Poults and chicks are shipped within 24 hours of hatch, Monday-Wednesday.
Juvenile/Adult Availability
Adult and juvenile turkeys and chickens are generally available spring through fall. Please Contact for current availability. Adults and juveniles MUST be picked up on the farm. We do not ship adult or juvenile poultry.
Minimum Orders
The minimum number of baby poultry to order if they must be shipped is 15 (in cold weather we may require a larger minimum order). A small additional fee may apply for providing heat packs with the day-old poultry. There is no minimum number for day-olds that are picked up on our farm. Unless otherwise noted, there is no minimum order for juvenile and adult birds.
Ordering Poults & Chicks
Orders are filled first come, first serve. Sometimes we do have space for spur-of-the-moment orders, but we recommend ordering well in advance to be sure you get the poults and chicks you want when you want them. Let us know the date you would like your babies, and we will fit your order in as close to that date as possible. You will be notified of the expected hatch date and any alternate hatch dates. Contact to order (list breed/variety and the number of each, as well as your preferred hatch week).
Shipping
We ship anywhere in the continental United States (we do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii). Live birds are shipped by insured USPS Priority Mail Express. For day-olds this usually costs $ 40-$ 85 depending on your location. Please provide us with your full mailing address, email address, and phone number. Once we have calculated shipping rate to your area, we will provide you with the total for the order and payment information. Upon shipment, you will be provided with the USPS tracking number and the expected arrival date of the birds (usually within 48 hours of when they were shipped). Notify your Post Office that you are expecting a shipment of poultry. The shipment will be held for pick up at your Post Office, who will call you when it arrives.
Pick Up at Farm
You can pick up your birds at our farm by scheduling a day/time. Please provide your name, phone number, and email address with your order. Poults and chicks must be picked up within 36 hours of when you are notified that they are ready, and juveniles and adults must be picked up by the agreed-on date. The seller is not required to hold birds after the scheduled pick-up time has passed. We do not offer farm tours.
Guarantees
1. All poultry are graded for physical defects prior to shipment/sale. However, we are not responsible for issues that arise or manifest after shipment/sale.
2. Shipped live birds are guaranteed to arrive alive and without permanent damage. Any deaths or permanent damages must be reported with photographic evidence within 24 hours of arrival. In the case of deaths/damages, please retain all shipping labels and materials as evidence for collecting insurance from the USPS, until we notify you that these items are no longer needed. We will fully refund the original purchase price of any dead or permanently damaged birds over and above the number of extra birds included in the shipment. PLEASE NOTE: Refunds for dead or damaged birds DO NOT include the cost of packing materials (boxes, shipping warmers) and the USPS shipping fee. For the live & undamaged guarantee to apply, the birds must be held for pick up at the customer's Post Office, and the customer must pick up the birds on the same business day that they arrive at said Post Office. The guarantee does not apply if these conditions are not met by the customer.
3. After they leave our hands, we are not responsible for live birds picked up on our farm.
4. Black Stars and Montana Red Stars sold as females are guaranteed to be 100% females. Males must be reported with photographic evidence within 3 months of the pick up/arrival date. Bourbon Red Turkey poults are as-hatch straight run (unsexed mix of males and females).
5. Beyond the above listed guarantees, there are no guarantees or warrantees on the birds.
