She consistently produces kids with good feet, legs, and shoulder assembly. She has a beautiful, globular udder with excellent attachments and good teat length. She also has a friendly, content, easy-going-personality that is a pleasure to have in a milking doe.
Unfortunately, shortly after kidding in 2022, Ruth experienced a bout of mastitis that caused permanent damage to one half of her udder, which is why she is not starred. Despite this issue, she produces an impressive amount of milk off of the one fully functional side and can raise 2-3 kids without supplementation. We are retaining enough of her progeny to star her based on progeny performance. Her 2021 daughter, Krebs LG Song of Songs, is pending starred as of 2023, and her 2023 daughter, Krebs LG Silver Belle, is pending starred as of 2025. Song of Songs produced 4.7 lbs. of milk on her 1-Day Milk Test. We also retained her 2022 son, Krebs LG Solomon, who we expect to plus based on his daughters, and her 2025 daughter. We expect Ruth and her offspring to be great assets to the future of our herd. |
