This is something -- Liesl had quintuplet DOELINGS this morning. Everyone is healthy and vigorous, and Liesl is doing a great job mothering them all. The doelings' sire is Grand Design, and they are full sisters to two of our favorite young does, My Favorite Things and Raindrops On Roses, who will be 2-year-old second fresheners when they kid in the next week or so. We will probably let go of several of these doelings. They come with ADGA & AGS registration. If you are interested in them, please feel free to Contact us.
Photo below is of the whole family taking a well-deserved rest shortly after the kids were born and got their tummies filled with good colostrum.

Tiddlywinks had triplets in the wee hours of the morning. Their sire is Grand Design. There is 1 polled, blue-eyed, buckskin doeling, 1 polled, buckskin & white buckling, and 1 flashy black & white buckling. We will most likely keep the doeling and possibly a buckling. We've bred Tiddlywinks to Grand Design three times now and liked the results every time, so it's about time we kept some kids from it. The other buckling will be available once we evaluate if we will be offering him as a registered buck or as a wether. If you are interested in these kids, please feel free to Contact us.
Photo below is of the kids at about 12 hours old. The doeling is in the front, and other 2 are the bucklings. Budgie had a pretty set of doe/buck twins yesterday morning. Their sire is Brisbane. Both of them have wattles, and the doeling is covered in moonspots. Brisbane is apparently throwing moonspots on his kids even though he doesn't have any obvious moonspots, because we've gotten several moonspotted kids out of does that haven't been known to throw moonspots with breedings to other bucks (Brisbane's sire has moonspots, which is probably where it's coming from -- the moonspotting gene can hide and "skip" generations).
The doeling will be retained at this time, but if you are interested in her, we can put you on a waiting list. The buckling will be available after we evaluate if we will be offering him as a registered buck or a wether. He's a long, handsome little guy. If you are interested in these kids, please feel free to Contact us. Photo below is of the kids at 1 day old. The doeling is in the back. Robin had quadruplets (2 does/2 bucks) yesterday. Their sire is Brisbane. Photo below is one of the bucklings, who will be available after we evaluate if he will be offered as a registered buck or a wether. We may also have a polled doeling available. If you are interested in these kids, please feel free to Contact us.
Clairissa Quinn had twin doelings on April 2. Their sire is Grand Design. Both of them are beautiful, long kids, and very personable already. I think we are going to retain just one because we already have their full sister (Tiger Eye) from last year, but it's going to be tough choosing between the two of them. If you are interested in the other one, please feel free to Contact us. She will come with ADGA & AGS registration.
Photos below are of the doelings at 3 days old. The lighter-colored one has blue eyes. It was a challenge to get them to stop playing long enough to get their photos -- they were zooming around their pen and, as you can see from the last photo, climbing all over mom. Edelweiss had triplet doelings on April 2. Another beautiful set of kids sired by Brisbane -- we're very pleased with the kids he is producing. And these triplets are so cute! They look like a trio of fluffy little stuffed animals. They have the excellent broad, deep muzzles and width throughout that is typical of the Heidi line (Edelweiss is Heidi's daughter). Two of them are cou blancs with wattles, and the third is a Swiss marked-cou blanc combo. Edelweiss is a doting mother and gives them lots of goat kisses.
Availability of these doelings is tentative (we might retain them all). If you are interested in one if we let her go, you may Contact us to get on the waiting list (note, however, that there are already a couple of people on the waiting list). Photos are of the doelings at just a few hours old. Quesadilla had quadruplets on April 2. They are sired by Brisbane and are his first kids. This is a beautiful litter with nice conformation and flashy colors. There are 2 moonspotted buckskin bucklings with wattles (1 of them has blue eyes), 1 buckskin/wattled doeling, and 1 cou clair-buckskin combo doeling with blue eyes. We will retain 1 doeling, and the other doeling will be available with ADGA and AGS registration. The bucklings will also be available after we evaluate if we will be offering them as registered bucks or wethers. If you are interested in these kids, please feel free to Contact us.
Photos below are of the kids at about 9 hours old. The second photo is the two doelings. SG Pholia Farm HB Claire 8*M AR had quadruplets on March 31. They are sired by Larkstone SP Grand Design *B Elite and are linebred on SG NC PromisedLand Ram-Beau ++B+*S VEE90 Elite and SG NC PromisedLand PAL Paloma 1*M 1*D AR VEEE90. Excellent, milky pedigree on these kids. There is 1 gold/wattled doeling, 1 buckskin doeling, 1 gold buckling, and 1 buckskin/wattled buckling. We plan to retain 1-2 of them, and 1-2 may be available after the current reservation is filled. If you are interested in these kids, please feel free to Contact us.

How to Reserve Goats: ~ You may pay the full price for a goat at the time we issue the gift certificate, or, if you prefer, you may place a partial deposit to reserve a goat and make the final payment when the recipient of the gift certificate picks up their goat. We will have lots of goats available and plenty that fit your budget. Touch bases and let us know what you are looking for. ~ We accept checks, money orders, and PayPal (or cash if you can drop it off at the farm). Gift Considerations: ~ Remember that goats are herd animals and need a buddy of the same species for their proper development and psychological wellbeing. Therefore, we only sell a minimum of 2 goats at a time unless they are going to a home that already has goats. ~ If your loved one has not owned goats or livestock before, we recommend gifting them the book "Storey's Guide to Raising Dairy Goats" to help them learn about basic goat care before they get their goats. We are also here to answer any questions and help along the way with tips for goat care and recommendations for the best goat-raising products that are available in our area. Gift Ideas: ~ If you do not intend to breed and milk the goats but just want some for pets, wethers (neutered males) are the most practical option, as they are less expensive than does but just as tame and sweet. (Note that you do not want unneutered male buck goats as pets, because they urinate on themselves and have a repulsive, clinging odor -- wethers do not urinate on themselves or stink.) ~ If you want a doeling for a future milk goat but don't want to spend the money on getting 2 doelings, a great way to start is with 1 doe kid and 1 wether kid for her companion. Many new goat owners like to start with kids so that they can get accustomed to raising goats before they need to start a milking routine. A nicely sized Nigerian doe kid can be bred at 8-10 months old and start producing milk at 13-15 months old. About Nigerian Dwarf Goats: With adults standing generally no more than 23.5 inches at the shoulder, Nigerian Dwarfs are the smallest of all the dairy goat breeds. Their small size makes them practical homestead dairy animals and great pets since they are easy to care for, handle, and accommodate. They are also perfect for 4-H since children can handle them easily. Nigerians have the highest milk butterfat content of any other breed of dairy goats or cattle. Their milk is sweet and creamy, free of the unappealing "goaty" flavor people often associate with goat's milk. The high butterfat content also makes it ideal for making cheese, butter, and soap. A good mature Nigerian doe can produce around a half gallon of milk a day. Nigerian Dwarfs are friendly, cute, and intelligent. They can be trained like a dog (even house trained). They come in a huge selection of colors and patterns and are the only registry-recognized dairy breed that can have either brown or blue eyes. They are also excellent weed eaters and can eliminate weeds like knapweed or tansy from a pasture. Why Buy From Krebs Dairy Goats? Whether you're purchasing goats for pets, dairy, breeding, or showing, we will help walk you through the process of raising a healthy, happy goat. We will also direct you to the best educational resources and locally available goat feed, products, and veterinarians. At Krebs Dairy Goats, our number one priority is to breed Nigerian Dwarf goats that are practical for the small homestead. We participate in Dairy Herd Improvement Registry (DHIR) milk testing to verify the quantity and quality of milk our does produce so that we can make educated decisions about how to perpetuate the best milking genetics in our herd. Therefore, if you're looking into purchasing milkers or breeding stock from us, you're getting goats out of quality proven production lines with the official records to back it up. We also breed for traits related to ease of hand milking, such as large teat size (large teats are vital in Nigerians, as many lines have small teats that are extremely difficult to hand milk). Along with top milk production, we select our Nigerians for the excellent dairy conformation that exemplifies the true miniature dairy goat. Our goats come out of some of the best showing and linear appraising lines in the country. Herd Health: Our herd is tested clean of the goat diseases CAE, CL, and Johne's, and our farm practices strict biosecurity to prevent disease introduction. Sales Info, Terms & Conditions: ~ Please read Krebs Dairy Goats general Sales Information and Policy. ~ Gift-Certificate Specific Sales Policy: When you place a deposit for a goat, you will receive a receipt for your payment along with the gift certificate. The receipt, not the gift certificate, will reflect the credit available from Krebs Dairy Goats unless a specific dollar amount is listed on the gift certificate (this is because some individuals place a half-down deposit with the intent of paying the final amount when the goat is picked up, but the gift certificate they give to their loved one may simply state that it is a gift of 1 goat). ~ Note that deposits are good for 18 months from the date they are placed. Deposits are nonrefundable unless Krebs Dairy Goats is unable to provide the goats reserved. Please Contact Us if you have any questions. Peruse our website to learn more about our goats.
